Guests consistently praise Folly 2 for its stunning location, cleanliness, and comfort. The property is well-regarded for its tasteful decoration and the views it offers. While some minor maintenance issues are noted, the overall experience is highly positive, with many guests expressing a desire to return.
The majority of guests found Folly 2 to be spotless and well-presented, indicating a high standard of cleanliness. One mention of a damp smell was quickly resolved, suggesting good responsiveness to issues.
The location is frequently highlighted as fantastic, with beautiful sea views and proximity to local amenities. The challenging access road is noted but deemed worth it for the prime location.
Guests describe the property as comfortable, cosy, and feeling like home. However, some concerns about suitability for families and the lack of child-friendly amenities slightly affect the comfort score.
Facilities are generally praised, but some guests reported issues with missing items and a lack of clear instructions. Maintenance concerns such as cracked crockery and missing outdoor cushions were also mentioned.
While the owner is described as helpful and attentive, there is insufficient information regarding gifts or special touches that would indicate thoughtfulness. Therefore, a score cannot be provided.
Perched on the cliffside, overlooking Port Isaac harbour, Folly 2 is a magnificent three-storey self-catering holiday home. With private parking for one car, spectacular views, and four bedrooms and three bathrooms, Folly 2 is an ideal choice for a family or group of friends looking for a relaxing retreat in Cornwall. The property is furnished to a high standard throughout and the large windows in all the rooms at the front of the house highlight the amazing views. The kitchen is sleek and modern and has plenty of of gadgets, including a range cooker, to rustle up a hearty meal. The dining room has a large table to accommodate all the friends and family guests, and the original fireplace keeps a real feel of opulence to the occasion. After dinner, retire to the luxurious sitting room and curl up on the cosy sofa or settle down at the window seat and watch the comings and goings in the harbour. There are four bedrooms spread across the first and second floors: two king-size rooms on the first floor, both with sea views, and a double and a room with two single beds on the second floor. There is a family bathroom on both the first and second floors, as well as an en-suite shower room in one of the king-size bedrooms. On sunny days the family can congregate around the picnic bench on the terrace or lawned area at the front of the house, enjoying a cream tea or ice cream. Port Isaac has a long association with fishing, and you can still watch the boats come and go out of the harbour. Port Isaac has a small sandy beach but if you are looking for a greater expanse of sand then you can travel along the coast to Polzeath Beach, Trebarwith Strand or any of the beaches dotted around Newquay. After a day of exploring the coast, return for a good night sleep at Folly 2, ready to do it all over again the next day.
Port Isaac; one of the true Cornish treasures. A beautiful fishing village nestling in a steep sided valley, the old village in the valley remains unchanged from its days of fishing, slate export and smuggling in the previous century. An abundance of small character properties complemented by larger cliff-top retreats, can be found with easy access to the numerous restaurants and shops of the village. The sandy harbour provides an abundance of rock pools as the tide retreats. Only ten minutes drive from the beaches of Polzeath, Daymer and Rock, it is perfect for romantic and family holidays alike. There is ample parking at the top of the village.

So much so that we have booked again. The Folly 2 is a wonderful property, everything thing we needed, decorated beautifully and in a fabulous location enjoying the local restaurants each evening. The October sunshine even came out for us so we even managed a coastal walk from the doorstep. Thankyou x'

It is set out with such thought and care it makes it feel magical. The views from the windows are unparalleled. We were very comfortable here. There is everything you need. I canât say enough good things about the house it is by far the most amazing place we have ever stayed in.

The house is beautiful inside and out, the position is fantastic and the views wonderful. Having a parking space in Port Isaac is a tremendous bonus.
