Pibbies in Port Isaac offers a spacious and well-equipped stay with a central location that provides easy access to local amenities and stunning views. While some guests found issues with cleanliness and comfort, the property's charm, convenience, and responsive service have been appreciated, making it a popular choice for return visits.
Cleanliness has been a concern for some guests, with reports of sticky surfaces and an unclean dishwasher. However, not all reviews mention cleanliness issues, suggesting experiences may vary.
The property's location is highly praised for its centrality and proximity to local shops, pubs, and the scenic village, despite some confusion about parking and property access.
Comfort received mixed feedback. Some guests found the property comfortable and cosy, while others reported an uncomfortable bed and poor soundproofing.
Facilities are generally well-regarded, with a well-equipped kitchen and efficient maintenance response. However, issues with misleading parking information and a hard-to-find entrance have been noted.
There is no mention of gifts or special touches that would indicate thoughtfulness from the hosts, so it is not possible to provide a score in this category.

One of the real Cornish jewels is Port Isaac. The old village in the valley, a charming fishing community nestled in a valley with steep sides, has not altered since the previous century, when it was a centre for smuggling, slate export, and fishing. You can find a lot of little character homes mixed in with bigger cliff-top retreats, all with convenient access to the village's many eateries and shops. As the water recedes, the sandy harbour offers an abundance of rock pools. It is ideal for both romantic getaways and family vacations because it is only ten minutes by car from the beaches of Polzeath, Daymer, and Rock. At the peak of the village, there is plenty of parking.

Pibbies is centrally located and a short stroll to the platt. Plenty of amenities and local goodies- pub, ice cream, fudge. The coop at the top is well stocked with every that you need. Had a nice roast in the pub (booked beforehand) and an excellent meal in the mote. Pibbies is well equipped and as described. It was great to be so close to everything. The house keeper was friendly and really helpful during our stay. Parking was hassle free- we used the car park at the top of the hill and paid for the week. Great value for money, another lovely John Bray holiday.
