Carbis Bay View offers stunning views and a prime location near the beach and train station. Guests appreciate the welcome pack and the property's spaciousness. While some find the decor dated and the furniture in need of an update, the patio and proximity to local attractions are highlights. The presence of a musty smell and issues with cleanliness and maintenance are noted, but the overall experience is often described as enjoyable.
Reviews indicate a mix of experiences regarding cleanliness. Some guests found the property clean, particularly the kitchen and bathroom, while others noted dust, a musty smell, and issues with mould. The inconsistency leads to a slightly above average score.
The location is highly praised for its breathtaking views and convenience to the beach and train station. The steepness of the surrounding hills was a minor concern for some, but overall, the location is considered exceptional.
Guests generally find the property comfortable, with good beds and a well-furnished layout. However, some discomfort was expressed due to a poor heating system, an uncomfortable sofa, and a snug shower. The balance of positive and negative feedback results in an above-average score.
Facilities are well-regarded, with a thoughtful welcome pack and good equipment. However, there are several mentions of maintenance issues such as a broken toilet seat, dampness, and the need for dehumidifiers and better ventilation. These issues slightly lower the score.
The welcome pack is frequently mentioned and appreciated, indicating a level of thoughtfulness. However, as gifts are not guaranteed for every stay, this score reflects the positive feedback while acknowledging the variability of this offering.

The sofa was very uncomfortable and not used during our stay. The price point is a little high taking the above points into consideration, but still enjoyed the stay

We watched seals in the Bay most afternoons. The train station is a 5 minute walk and £2 return into St Ives ment we could leave the car behind. The apartment was very spacious, and the facilities excellent. The shower is a bit snug to say the least , but manageable . Be warned the car parking space is tricky if you have a large car , and our Range Rover had millimetres either side ! We were extremely lucky to have lovely weather for October, and sat outside on occasion, taking in the views. Overall we loved our stay , and will not hesitate in coming back , we visit Cornwall a couple of times a year , and this was one of the best yet.

Without a doubt the best views weâve ever had - weâve been coming to Carbis bay for 10 years. Simply breathtaking and sitting on the patio on a sunny morning with a coffee was just something else. Perfect location for the beach and train station, we left the flat 5 mins before the train was due with still time to spare itâs that close. We have 2 kids aged 9 and 7 and they loved playing out on the lawn after a day at the beach. Love Carbis Bay, the beach is perfect for kids with the stream running through it, weâve spent many hours over the years building dams and watching the water break through it. Easy and quick access to St. Ives without staying in the thick of it. A bit of feedback on the accommodation - it was perfect for us but could do with some updating: stains on living room curtains which we only noticed once drawn, lots of dark wood in bedroom, poor hot water pressure in kitchen, shower failed to drain properly (I suspect because of sand) and the tired living room furniture needs replacing in my opinion. However none of these would prevent us rebooking this property.
