Looking at the stunning view from the bay windows of the living area of this luxury first floor apartment you will understand why Golva takes its name from the Cornish word for ‘Lookout’. Set on the cliffs overlooking one of Cornwall’s most beautiful bays and beaches, Carbis Bay, many an hour can be enjoyed watching boats and nature at play. The owners have even supplied binoculars. Sleeping four in two comfortable bedrooms, it’s ideal for a young family or couple after a romantic coastal escape. Look out of the bay windows in the sitting area and the panoramic view will take your breath away, stretching from St Ives Bay in one direction to Godrevy Lighthouse in the other. Take a seat in one of the two comfy sofas and see if you can spot dolphins playing in the bay or enjoy the fabulous entertainment on the smart TV with full Sky package including Movies and Sport. A table, comfortably seating four, is perfectly positioned in the dining area to enjoy the wonderful Cornish vista at mealtimes. Golva benefits from a modern fitted rear kitchen with NEFF built in appliances. It’s a bright space with natural light from the window overlooking the well-maintained courtyard area of Compass Point. The beach hamlet of Carbis Bay is well renowned for its magnificent stretch of pure white sand, which is only a short drive from iconic St Ives. The beach feels almost subtropical, with turquoise waters and protected conditions, and is ideal for a good old-fashioned day by the sea. The Ocean Sports Centre is located on the beach, so if sunbathing isn't your thing, rent a kayak or stand-up paddleboard and get out on the ocean instead. Alternatively, why not book a spa day at the boutique hotel that overlooks the beach and has a fantastic terrace where you can sip cocktails while basking in the Cornish sunshine? Carbis Bay has a few shops and restaurants, as well as a fish and chip takeaway and a railway branchline. One of the most beautiful rail journeys in the country is from Carbis Bay to St Ives.

It was spotlessly clean and equipped with everything we would need for our stay and more - the binoculars were a lovely addition and my daughters loved to use them to watch the boats in the bay. We would definitely stay again if we are ever back in Cornwall.

A stunning sea view with good access to the beach. The only thing my partner struggled with was the king size mattress which was very soft as he suffers from back pain. Also the good size, easily accessible parking space was a bonus.

The views of St Ives and Godrevy are stunning. The location is excellent, with the gorgeous Carbis Bay beach very close by. It is next to the train station which gives you a 5 min journey into St Ives, although we also loved the scenic walk. This apartment is very clean and well-equipped - it has everything you need and more. We greatly appreciated the extremely comfortable bed! We will be back as soon as we can. Thank you
