Gwel An Chapel in Carbis Bay boasts stunning views and a prime location for beach access and train travel to St Ives. Guests have praised the high-quality furnishings, comfortable beds, and well-equipped kitchen. The property is noted for its cleanliness, though one review mentioned the need for better cleaning. Parking can be tight, and some guests found the sofas and beds to be less comfortable. Welcome gifts were appreciated, adding a thoughtful touch to the stay.
Most guests found the property spotlessly clean, with only one review citing issues with cleanliness. This suggests that the property is generally well-maintained, though there may be occasional lapses.
The location is highly praised for its proximity to the beach, train station, and stunning views. It is well-placed for walks and convenient travel to nearby attractions, making it an ideal spot for visitors.
Guests have found the beds comfortable and the views enjoyable, contributing to a relaxing stay. However, some guests mentioned that the sofas and a bed in the second bedroom were less comfortable, which slightly impacts the overall comfort score.
The property is commended for its high-end appliances and well-equipped kitchen. Some minor issues were noted, such as the need for sharper kitchen knives and the presence of motion sensors in the bedroom. The availability of Sky TV was a bonus for some guests.
While welcome gifts were mentioned and appreciated, there is not enough consistent information about their provision to all guests to accurately score this category. It should be noted that such gifts are a lovely addition but not guaranteed.

Fantastic location and view was amazing. Was there niggles well just warnings really. Parking is tight as many visitors had SUVs so it took some manoeuvring. Also ensure you take soap or pump soap for the bathroom sink area to wash hands it isnât provided. There was many mentions of the nice pack left for visitors, we only noted a pint of milk and a nice tote bag , maybe cut backs. This is a lovely place though and fully recommended for other visitors to the area .
