In a wonderfully central location in St Ives, this lovely two-bed apartment sets you up for a restful break in Cornwall’s art capital. You’ll be right above the main shopping street, which is brimming with independent shops, friendly pubs and welcoming restaurants. You’ll only need to walk 150 metres to reach the first of St Ives’ seven beaches – yes, this is a great holiday destination if you love to swim in the sea, surf and feel the sand beneath your toes!
You’ll enter your temporary home through a shared entrance, then head up one flight of stairs to your first-floor apartment. The inside is stylish and modern, with a lovely open-plan living area overlooking the vibrant streets below. You’ll have two beautifully presented bedrooms – a super-king-size (also available as a twin) with expansive floor-to-ceiling bay windows and a second king-size bedroom with a sleek en suite shower room.
When it’s time to explore your surroundings, a short 350-metre stroll brings you to the popular Porthmeor surfing beach and the iconic Tate St Ives. When you’re done catching waves or admiring artwork, pick up a delicious Cornish ice cream and lap up views over the fishing boats from the iconic harbour (150 metres). If you’re keen to pull those hiking boots on, lace up and head to the South West Coast Path for long walks with the gorgeous seascape as your backdrop – you may even spot seals and dolphins frolicking in the waters. For day trips, the quaint fishing harbour of Newlyn (9.5 miles) is well worth the trip, or you can head to Penzance (8.5 miles) for more shops, art galleries and restaurants.
Mrs Cottrill
Lovely apartment with comfortable sofas and beds and plenty of space. Location was great during the day as right in the heart of St Ives so ideal for shopping and eating/drinking etc Unfortunately, Friday and Saturday nights were a different story. There was load music and shouting in the street below the property until 2.00am each night so not good if you want to sleep.
Mrs Baker
Lovely apartment, fantastic location but inevitably be prepared for some noise in the evening if you’re there over a weekend.
Mrs Carr
Beautiful property and location perfect. Street can be a little noisy with early morning deliveries but would stay here again
