Colyton, a small village in East Devon, has been inhabited since 700 AD. Colyton, which is three miles from Seaton and six miles from Axmouth, contains a lot of historical structures, like St. Andrew's Church, as well as meandering alleyways filled with independent businesses. The numerous inns provide delicious food and a friendly atmosphere. From the tram stop in Colyton, you may take a relaxing ride to Seaton along the River Axe. The charming towns of Colyford, Southleigh, Northleigh, and Farway are tucked away in the Coly Valley and make for pleasant day trips.

Arriving we found a cream tea waiting for us which was lovely. There was no downside to the holiday, only our English weather, which didnât stop us from enjoying the holiday and the surroundings. We found John and Sarah to be very welcoming.

The owner greeted us and gave us a quick tour which was a lovely start to our stay. Itâs the perfect spot to relax, with the shared social spaces & field for the dogs was a bonus. A lot of thought had been put into little extra touches to welcome us, a delicious cream tea and a basket with treats & basic things for the dogs. Weâd highly recommend the kingfisher pub, the bear bakery & local butcher. We canât wait to return!
