Steep stairs head up to the two bedrooms, the double a romantic double-aspect room with lofty ceiling, plus a bathroom. Your little enclosed garden at the front with table and chairs on the patio is the perfect place to watch sleepy village life go by and enjoy morning coffee with the papers. The village is surrounded by great footpaths for walking, mostly leading into the wooded River Teign valley where you may spot deer, salmon leaping and other wildlife. The village itself offers a traditional pub and there is another pub nearby at Fingle Bridge. The local church has a pop-up shop which is open 8am to 8pm, selling non-perishable items and essentials. The open expanses of Dartmoor invite you to explore on foot or by car or bike, or head to Exeter with its city amenities including theatres and restaurants. Very secure for dogs. Lots to see within a 40 mile radius. Head for the coast and use the scenic coastal trains for trips up and down the seaside towns. Just the most ideal cottage to relax and unwind. A credit to the owners and those involved in keeping the cottage spotless.
