Settled into the riverside town of Barnstaple, 1 Old Farm Court is a lovely single-storey base for a family or group of friends looking to explore the coast and countryside of Devon. A short drive away from Barnstaple Town Centre and Instow, home to a harbour and a large sandy beach. Be welcomed into a tastefully furnished sitting room where guests can relax with a cup of tea and plan the day ahead of them beside the stone feature fireplace and wallpapered walls. The kitchen/diner is amply fitted and ideal for guests to cook together due to its spacious nature and dine at the dining table. Freshen up in the bathroom with either a warm shower or a soak amongst the bubbles. The town is renowned for its floral displays having won a Britain in Bloom award and flowers are found around every corner of the town in the most unusual places. Barnstaple lies at the end of the magnificent Tarka line railway journey, which takes you through the spectacular North Devon countryside of wooded river valleys, rugged moorland and a stretch of coastline, plus close by is the picture postcard coastal village of Clovelly. A combination of numerous long sandy beaches and family attractions makes Barnstaple a desirable holiday destination.

Kitchen is well equipped. Our adult sons who joined us for the first week reckon a cockerel across the road has attitude and a Devon accent! One improvement would be to keep the bushes behind the swing seat lower so that can enjoy the view from the round âlunch in the sunâ table.
