Enter through the patio door to find a combined lounge, kitchen and dining area which is light and bright, with a wooden floor and lovely details including artworks and throws. The fitted kitchen has all the appliances you’ll need for holiday cooking, and the farmhouse dining table is spacious enough for board games or pouring over a map. Sink into the comfy seating in the lounge area and enjoy an evening in, perhaps watching a favourite show on the Smart TV. Two lovely bedrooms, a double and a twin, feature painted tongue-and-groove walls and a mix of vintage furniture, and they share a spacious wet room. The deck outside is a delightful place on which to relax with a coffee or light the BBQ and linger over supper as the stars come out. In front of the lodge is a field which is perfect for dog walking.

Just 1.5 miles away, the ancient market town of Barnstaple has a variety of shops and places to eat, as well as a large indoor market. Here you can also join the Tarka Trail, a popular off-road route passing through unspoilt countryside. If you fancy a beach day, Saunton Sands is just 9 miles and, for a day hiking or cycling in gorgeous rural scenery, the Exmoor National Park is also 9 miles.
