The village is home to a lovely Norman church, a camra recommended 14th Century pub serving real ales and fine wines and a local shop, whilst the surrounding countryside offers many great walking and cycling opportunities. The surfer's paradise of Woolacombe, with its long sandy beach is just 4 miles away and only 5 miles to the North is the coastal resort of Ilfracombe, with its pubs, clubs and great visitor attractions. Linhay was perfect for two plus dogs. It had all the facilities one needs, including microwave, cooker, dishwasher and washing machine. Nice welcoming gift of wine, biscuits and dog biscuits - much appreciated. It was very clean and comfortable and had an informative brochure which included details about the pet pigs !! Would recommend Linhay to anyone who wants a quiet break but is within easy access of local towns.

The accommodation is small but adequate for a short stay. However, in the kitchen /living area there is an uncomfortable bucket chair and a very low, small 2 seater sofa. No good for anyone with back or arthritis problems, we turned round and went home. Very disappointed
