The 3.5-mile beach at Saunton Sands (3 miles) is a real surfing hotspot, and is backed by the majestic Braunton Burrows sand dunes. The view as you head over the hill from Croyde to Saunton is arguably one of the finest in North Devon. Alternatively, head to the stunning secluded cove of Rockham Bay (6.5 miles) for peace and tranquillity. Slightly off the beaten track, it’s the perfect place to switch off from the stresses of everyday life.
