We loved our week away at the roost. made us feel welcome and was available on site if you needed help. The roost was clean, cosy, comfortable and so peaceful in an idyllic position. It reminded me of a tree house set in Africa. Whilst we didn't have giraffes to feed from our novel height we did see plenty of birdlife including a tawny owl which appeared each night as the bats left the roost (which Paul built). The hot tub was lovely at the end of each day. Lee bay is lovely, hidden away. We would definitely recommend The Roost as long as your mobility isn't impaired as parking is away from the house up 20 steps. You can drop off luggage via a side gate on the road but you can't park there. Over all our holiday was very enjoyable, peaceful, comfortable and I would return at the drop of a hat.

The Roost is a little gem and ideal for a couple wanting a bit of peace and quiet in a rural setting. The property is on one floor, open plan and well laid out. There's a lovely veranda to sit out on with the added bonus of a hot tub which we really enjoyed. There's a great pub (The Grampus) in the village of Lee which is a 15 minute walk away down the lane and the beach a further 5 minutes further on. I would definitely stay here again.

It’s a fantastic peaceful location where you can unwind and enjoy the view A word of warning to dog owners the gate to main road is not gated sufficiently to stop your dogs. It is easily remedied by blocking off the route by the side of the house, but it would be good if there was a permanent gate
