This small seaside resort, with all of the necessary amenities, is a great attraction to locals and visitors alike. Combe Martin has a very popular beach; the sheltered cove is perfect for rock-pooling and it is a popular paddle boarding bay. The village also boasts its own Wildlife and Dinosaur Park! Combe Martin is home to the historic Earl of Rone festival held in May each year and has an annual carnival in August. This is an ideal base for touring, and discovering the delights of North Devon, with Lynton and Lynmouth, Woolacombe, Croyde Bay, Saunton Sands, Ilfracombe and Barnstaple all within easy reach. There are also numerous National Trust properties and gardens waiting to be enjoyed. Surfing at Woolacombe is among the best in the South West, while the South West coastal path passes within a mile. Combe Martin is a great base for enjoying a seaside getaway, with something to keep everybody entertained.

There is a steep drive but it is not difficult to negotiate and it is very worth it. The accommodation is superb; large and spacious, extremely comfortable and provides everything you could possibly need. The gardens are beautiful and very well maintained. Host, Jennie, is very welcoming, helpful and available when needed. We were delighted with the "goodies" we found on arrival which were much appreciated. Thank you, Jennie, for a great holiday. The property is in a fantastic spot and the views are stunning despite the weather there is always an interesting view. Our host was very welcoming and available without being intrusive at all and supplied us with some lovely goodies, that were very much appreciated. Jenny was very helpful and made us feel very welcome sharing her local knowledge and pointing us in the right direction. We were able to do some lovely walks right from the house so explored Combe Martin and the local area. The local bus service is good and we took advantage of using it. Thank you Jenny for being so friendly and making sure Linden View provided us with a home from home. Would love to come back.
