Exquisitely styled, this stunning lodge feels light, airy and spacious throughout. On entering, you’ll find yourself in the open-plan living area with its vaulted ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows adding to the sense of space. Comfortable sofas are perfect for relaxing of an evening; there is ample space for everyone around the dining table and the compact kitchen is well-equipped. There are two large, well-appointed bedrooms: one double with an en-suite shower room and a twin room. Completing the accommodation is a family bathroom. When the sun is shining, throw open the patio doors to access the veranda for al fresco dining or take a dip in the sunken hot tub to the side of the lodge.

This part of Devon is perfect for walking enthusiasts, with lots of routes off the beaten track. Head to Exmoor National Park (11 miles) for sweeping moorland, babbling brooks and quaint tearooms and pubs. If you prefer the coast, head to Saunton (25 miles) where you can enjoy the golden sand and clean surf. For a family day out, visit Exmoor Zoo (17.5 miles) where you can get up close and personal with the Exmoor Beast and other animals.
