Trimstone Manor Self-Catering Cottages were converted from what was originally a Mill and its ancillary buildings, indeed the original water wheel still presides within our swimming pool hall! The Cottages themselves are set around a sheltered courtyard adjoining Trimstone Manor Country House Hotel. Following recent refurbishment, the Cottages are fully furnished to a good standard and offer a variety of sleeping arrangements to suit most needs. We provide everything you need for your self-catering holiday (except towels). Pets are welcome in the Cottages by prior arrangement.

The Cottages and Hotel are set in 44 acres of landscaped gardens and beautiful North Devon rolling countryside and provide the perfect location for those who want a peaceful and relaxing break. With easy access to the A361 Trimstone is also perfect for those who want to explore North Devon. The fine sandy beaches and rolling surf of Croyde, Woolacombe and Saunton are a short drive away, as are the secluded coves and cliff paths around Ilfracombe and Combe Martin. Other attractions include the famous twin villages of Lynton and Lynmouth, Exmoor, the North Devon coastal footpath, Arlington Court for the National Trusts’ Carriage Collection or the delights of a working sheep dog and falconry demonstration at Lee Cross under a mile away. For children we are within reasonable driving distance of The Big Sheep, The Milkyway and Crealy Adventure Park and we are happy to supply you with full details.

Come rain or shine there is always something to do at Trimstone. Guests are welcome to use the games room, tennis court, indoor heated swimming pool, sauna, walk in the grounds or simply relax in a quiet spot with a drink and a good book. Guests staying in the cottages are most welcome to use the Hotel Bar and Restaurant (open on Friday and Saturday evenings or by prior arrangement) and enjoy special terms for breakfast and evening meal reservations.

Please note that the Swimming Pool will be closed after October Half-Term until the week before Easter during our low season. However, for larger accommodation bookings for guests staying in the self-catering units during this period who specifically request these facilities to be made available during their stay, we shall be pleased to consider this upon request.

Gate Cottage - 2 bedrooms, lounge, dining room, kitchen & shower room, sleeps 5 +1: double bed, single bed & bunk set of bunk beds.

Manor Cottage - 2 bedrooms, lounge, dining room, kitchen & shower room, sleeps 5 +1: double bed, single bed & set of bunk beds.

Paddock Cottage - 2 bedrooms, lounge, dining room, kitchen & bathroom, sleeps 4 +1: 2x double beds.

Paddock Apartment - 2 bedrooms, lounge, dining room & shower room, sleeps 3 +1: double bed & single bed.

Mill Apartment - 1 bedroom, open plan lounge/kitchen/diner & shower room sleeps 2+2.

Paddock Cottage & Paddock Apartment offer combined accommodation.
