It offers an ideal location for a variety of watersports, great coastal walks, and has an impressive cliff top 18 hole golf course, with magnificent views of the moors and sea in all directions. Just a few minutes away from the property there is a surf school - perfect for the young and young at heart.
The Bay is perched high on the cliffs above Challaborough Beach at Bigbury-on-Sea and benefits from stunning sea views which can also be enjoyed from the large balcony - perfect for enjoying a glass of wine whilst watching the sun go down.
There are several eateries including the award winning Venus Cafe located next to the beach, which offers local organic produce. The Pilchard Inn, located on Burgh Island, offers good basic food and a selection of fine ales.
Burgh Island is linked to Bigbury-on-Sea by a short sandy causeway which, when covered at high tide, can only be crossed using the unique sea tractor. At low tide, the historic Burgh Island is just a short walk away, where famous guests of the beautiful Art Deco hotel have included Agatha Christie, The Beatles, Noel Coward and Edward and Mrs Simpson.
