The popular Dartmouth House development in Mayors Avenue is just a few metres level walk from the embankment and River Dart. Dartmouth's specialist shops, art galleries, pubs and restaurants are within an easy reach, as are the beautiful Royal Avenue Gardens.
4 Dartmouth House is a comfortable ground floor apartment. An entrance hallway leads to all rooms. Lovely open plan living accommodation has wooden flooring throughout, with a modern and well equipped kitchen with fitted units, wooden worktops and a range of appliances. The well appointed and very comfortable living space has two sofas and an armchair, plus a coffee table and TV (with Sky Freeview) and a DVD player. French windows open out to a good sized terrace with river views, furnished with a table, chairs and bench, providing a wonderful place to relax and watch the world go by. The dining area has a dining table and four chairs.
The spacious master bedroom has a King-size bed, bedside tables and lamps, a large fitted wardrobe and chest of drawers. This room leads onto an en suite bathroom with a large shower cubicle and w.c. The second bedroom has 2 single beds and a fitted wardrobe. In addition to the en suite (above) is a modern, fully-tiled family bathroom with bath, shower (over), w.c and vanity unit with basin, and heated towel rail.
In a central position, this apartment is ideal for a couple or family looking to explore Dartmouth. Wheelchair access to this property is particularly good as the development has a lift from the secure underground parking space.
Dartmouth lies on the banks of the beautiful River Dart in the popular and picturesque South Hams area of South Devon. Located within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and close to the stunning Start Bay coastline, Dartmouth is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Devon. It offers a stunning waterfront, ancient narrow streets lined with boutique shops, restaurants and art galleries plus many popular events such as the annual Dart Music Festival, Dartmouth Food Festival and the Port of Dartmouth Royal Regatta. This historic town boasts interesting landmarks, such as Dartmouth Castle, the Britannia Royal Naval College, and the National Trust’s Greenway House just a short ferry ride away. There are many interesting cycling and walking routes around Dartmouth, including the South West Coast Path, the Dart Valley Trail and plenty of quiet country lanes. A trip on the Dartmouth Steam Railway through the rolling countryside to Paignton is a must, and so is a boat or ferry trip across to Kingswear, on to Brixham, or down the river to the village of Dittisham. For those seeking sandy beaches, there is a wide choice in the South Hams area such as Blackpool Sands and Slapton Sands, both extremely popular beaches just a stone's throw from Dartmouth.
