Guests say

Ferry View in Dartmouth is a well-received apartment with stunning views and a prime location. Guests have praised its cleanliness, spaciousness, and modern amenities. While some have noted issues with comfort due to an uncomfortable master bed and challenges with parking and access, the property's overall charm and convenience appear to outweigh these concerns.

The property is generally praised for its cleanliness, with several reviews highlighting its spotless condition. However, a few guests mentioned specific areas that required attention, such as the patio and an en-suite shower, slightly lowering the score.

The location is highly regarded due to its proximity to the town centre, beautiful views, and easy access to local attractions. The only minor drawback mentioned is the challenge of parking and the distance to the car park permit area.

Guests find the apartment cosy and well-equipped, but several have reported that the master bed is uncomfortable. The comfort of the living spaces is well-received, but the bed issue has led to a lower score.

The apartment is considered well-equipped and modern, with a new kitchen and balcony mentioned. However, some guests have reported maintenance issues such as a dishwasher not being fixed properly and a radiator not being hot enough.

There are no specific mentions of gifts or extra thoughtful touches provided by the hosts in the reviews, so it is not possible to assess this category.

Dartmouth lies on the banks of the beautiful River Dart estuary in the popular and picturesque South Hams area of South Devon. Located within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and close to the coast, Dartmouth is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Devon. It offers a stunning waterfront, ancient narrow streets lined with boutique shops, restaurants and art galleries plus many local events such as the annual Dart Music Festival and the Port of Dartmouth Royal Regatta, along with the Dartmouth Food Festival held every October. It is very comfortable and the view from the balcony is second to none. We are a small family and this property was located brilliantly for us to access all the local amenities and attractions. It’s not too much of a trek to the property up the hill which was important for us with a pushchair. There are steps down to the property from the main road however we found we negotiated these with reasonable ease. Immaculate, not over furnished with breakables (always a bonus with kids around) and really a lovely place to spend our down time! We will definitely be back!

It was our second visit and we hope to book again next year to visit Dartmouth. Our only complaint is that the master bed is so uncomfortable, we chose on a couple of nights to use the single beds as the bed is lumpy and hard. I did note that another review a year ago had also complained about the bed. So please make it a 10/10 by updating the bed, it would make such a difference having a comfortable nights sleep. Apart from that it's perfect.

The location is fabulous and the apartment is very relaxing to spend time in. Everywhere is also spotlessly clean. Normally I prefer to discuss any problems with the company rather than write something negative in the review, and I did so last year regarding the mattress in the main bedroom, hoping something would be done about it. It was in a poor condition when we first stayed seven years ago, and now it's like sleeping on plastic crates. After two nights, we had to move into the twin room because it was impossible to get a good night's sleep.
