Binham Cottage is a detached pet - friendly property situated in the picturesque village of Dittisham. Set within its own delightful gardens and enjoying stunning river and countryside views, it is about a 15-minute drive to the historic naval town of Dartmouth, with its award winning restaurants, individual boutique shops and delightful waterfront.
This light and spacious house offers accommodation over three floors with the front door opening onto a central stairwell. The splendid lounge, on the upper floor, has a high vaulted ceiling and offers a wonderful place to sit and relax with folding doors opening onto a Juliet balcony with views over the river, with a further sitting room on the lower floor. The triple aspect fully fitted modern kitchen and dining room has a large wooden dining table and seating for 10 with bi-folding doors opening onto the large paved terrace with outdoor dining area.
There are six bedrooms. Bedroom one, on the top floor, has a King-size bed and en suite shower room. Middle floor accommodation: bedroom two with King-size bed and en suite bathroom, bedroom three with a super-King bed (separated to form two single beds on request), bedroom four has bunk beds and bedroom five a single bed. Bedroom six, on the lower floor, has bunk beds. There is also a family bathroom and shower room.
The enclosed sloping garden has fruit trees and private access to the village green, known as the Ham, which runs alongside the River Dart.
Nestled in a tranquil location on the edge of the River Dart, the waterside village of Dittisham is just a 10 minute drive (or 30 minute river cruise via the small passenger ferry) from the historic naval town of Dartmouth, where visitors can enjoy boutique shops and galleries, award-winning restaurants and the picturesque waterfront. The peaceful waterside village of Dittisham boasts two pubs, including the Ferry Boat Inn, plus the popular Anchorstone Café, serving freshly caught seafood. In addition to this there is a convenient shop/post office. Greenway House, the former holiday home of Agatha Christie now owned by the National Trust, is a short ferry side away from Dittisham quay. The Blue Flag awarded beach at Blackpool Sands and the stunning Start Bay coastline are just a 20 minute drive away.
