Cranford, a stylish and fully refurbished (in 2023), three-storey home, rests in the heart of the popular seaside town of Salcombe, Devon. Accommodating up to six guests, Cranford is close to the hub of amenities as well as local beaches and is a wonderful choice for friends and families looking to tour the South Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Unload at the roadside and ascend the external steps to reach the lovely decked area with seating, enjoying views to the front of the property, overlooking the town. After unloading, park in the nearby open private garage which is located just a short walk away to the rear of the property. Step inside to be met by the welcoming, modern interior with a comfortable intimate sitting room to the front with views from the window of the town and with plush seating to sink into, an electric log burner style fire to enhance the cosy atmosphere, and a Smart TV for entertainment. Continue exploring your home away from home and you will find the large open-plan living space to the rear of the property with underfloor heating and a sleek, fully-integrated modern kitchen with atmospheric lighting features, a large kitchen island with breakfast-bar seating, a dedicated dining area, and a further seating area with a large smart TV to unwind whilst taking in the view of the pretty garden beyond. Salcombe is a popular destination for walkers and families looking for a holiday by the sea and was once a major port. There are two pretty beaches within a short distance, North Sands and South Sands and further on is the National Trust property Overbeck’s where you can wander through the subtropical gardens. Why not have a more adventurous day and try out the watersports available on the estuary including surfing, kayaking or a more leisurely boat trip? Whilst staying in Salcombe you must take advantage of the locally sourced seafood which is served in many of the restaurants, pubs, cafés and delicatessens. The southern tip of Devon provides some spectacular scenery and picturesque vistas with a number of sandy beaches, lovely villages with thatched cottages and some fantastic opportunities for walking, including the South West Coast path.

We were a family of five adults and there was plenty of space inside and out for us all to relax. Luxury bedding and towels provided and all the cleaning essentials there already. A lovely selection of books and magazines too. One little handy hint - the cutlery is in the island drawer above the picnic crockery

A beautiful home which was incredibly clean and comfortable and really felt like a home from home with all of the amenities available, something which allowed us to enjoy the holiday to the max especially with two little ones in tow. Loved every minute!
