Normandy Watch in Salcombe is a well-equipped and beautifully presented property with stunning estuary views and a central location ideal for boating and dining out. Guests appreciate the quietness, despite some noise at night, and the addition of new furniture and a microwave. The sun terrace is a highlight, although attention to cleanliness and maintenance would enhance the experience.
The property has received mixed feedback regarding cleanliness. Some guests reported a dirty patio area and unclean outdoor furniture upon arrival. However, there were no widespread complaints, suggesting that cleanliness issues may be sporadic rather than systemic.
The location is highly praised for its central position and beautiful views, providing easy access to local amenities and boating opportunities. The only drawback mentioned is the difficulty in finding parking during the day, which is an external factor beyond the property's control.
Comfort has been noted as an area for improvement, with guests mentioning issues such as thin blinds leading to early morning light disturbance, uncomfortable sofas, and problems with shower temperature and water pressure. Despite these points, the property's new furniture and overall attractiveness have been commended.
Facilities are generally good, with recent additions like a microwave being well-received. However, guests have suggested further improvements such as better oven gloves, blackout blinds, and resolving water pressure issues. The presence of family photos was also noted as making some guests feel intrusive.
There is insufficient information to assess thoughtfulness as it pertains to gifts or welcome packs, as these were not consistently mentioned across the reviews. Therefore, a score cannot be provided for this category.

It has everything you need for a comfortable stay and thatâs exactly what we had. We wouldnât hesitate to return or recommend. A point to consider. The property is located between 2 pubs, convenient for sure but of course there will be pub related noise. We did have cause to contact the office on the last day as we couldnât find the seagull sack for the bin. It is frustrating that it takes so long to get through (10 mins) and then you canât get to speak to a local agent, who has valuable knowledge of the property.

As a family we had easy access to our boat on the pontoons and enjoyed lots of eating out and cooking in the house. We loved the additions of new furniture, new flooring, art work and even the microwave. I have already recommended this property to our friends who are staying in May! We will be back again soon. Thank you for a precious holiday.

The owners have done a great job with the property. I feel it is only far to say however, it does get very noisy at night until as late as 1 or 2 in the morning & that will not appeal to some people.
