Guests say

1 Caddaford Barns is a well-received holiday rental, praised for its comfort, high standard of cleanliness, and excellent location for exploring South Devon. Guests appreciate the well-equipped facilities, stylish decor, and the warm welcome from the owner, Kate. While some minor issues were noted, the overall sentiment is overwhelmingly positive, with many guests eager to return.

The property consistently receives high marks for cleanliness, with multiple reviews noting it as spotless and well-maintained. This suggests a very high standard of cleanliness throughout the property.

The location is frequently praised for being ideal for exploring South Devon and for its proximity to local attractions. The quiet and peaceful setting is also appreciated, although one review mentioned the approach road being narrow.

Comfort is highlighted as a strong point, with mentions of a comfortable bed, warm environment, and spacious accommodation. However, there were a few comments about the second bedroom being too small and the bench in the kitchen being uncomfortable.

Facilities are generally well-regarded, with the property being described as well-equipped and having high-end features. Some guests suggested improvements such as more kitchen equipment and safety bars in the bathroom, which slightly affects the score.

While guests mention a welcome pack with milk and biscuits, there is no consistent mention of gifts or additional thoughtful touches across the reviews. Therefore, it is not possible to accurately score this category.

An excellent base for exploring Dartmoor and the wider Devon area. The owner, Kate, is very friendly and responds quickly to any requests. Being able to easily charge up our EV car at the property was an added bonus and we would highly recommend the barns as a great place to stay.

  • David

We would recommend it to anyone. It was very quiet and peaceful.

  • Steven

The barn was as advertised in the listing, which made for a great base to explore South Devon, and relax when the weather turned grey and showery. Every piece of furniture and soft furnishing has been tastefully selected and presented, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We would definitely consider returning to Caddaford Barns.
