With off-road parking and a warm welcome for one well-behaved pet, this haven is perfect for families or friends seeking a tranquil escape in the picturesque Devonshire countryside. Upon entering the property, stroll through a hallway with original flagstones to a well-equipped kitchen, ideal for preparing home-cooked meals to be enjoyed at the dining table, which comfortably seats four people. Adjacent to the kitchen, you will find a utility housing a washing machine and tumble dryer, ideal for those longer stays. The heart of the home is the living/dining room, boasting a snug woodburning stove and a Smart TV, perfect for those relaxing evenings in after a day of exploring the Devonshire countryside. When it's time to retire for the night, head upstairs to find two beautifully presented bedrooms. The first is a super-king-size room, complete with an en-suite bathroom featuring a bath, shower over, basin, and WC. The second bedroom is a twin room, perfect for children or friends sharing. A further bathroom with a bath, shower over, basin, and WC ensures there is plenty of space for everyone to prepare for their day. Outside, pass the original Mill Wheel to find a shared enclosed front garden with a gravelled area, perfect for your morning coffee. To the rear of the property, there is a private, enclosed garden with a gravelled area and furniture, ideal for alfresco dining or simply enjoying the serene surroundings. Venture out to explore the wonders of the local area, beginning with a trip to the awe-inspiring Becky Falls Ancient Woodland Park, where nature takes centre stage or head to the Bovey Castle Hotel for a cream tea or spa treatment. The cottage enjoys a right of access through paddocks from the rear garden to the heart of the village with its church and pub. Spend your days hiking Dartmoor's impressive Tors, or consider cycling to Princetown. Rejuvenate with a meal at the nearby Ring of Bells Inn, which boasts a superb menu with local produce. Travel a little further afield to the cathedral city of Exeter and marvel at the majestic Exeter Cathedral, take in the green open spaces of Heavitree Pleasure Ground and Belmont Park, or explore beneath the city streets with the Underground Passages. Discover the market town of Tavistock, which hosts a wealth of independent shops at Tavistock Pannier Market, tranquil green spaces at The Meadows (Tavistock Park), and delve into local history at Tavistock Museum. No matter how you spend your days in this idyllic part of Devon, return each evening to the comfort of 2 New Mill Cottages, your home-away-from-home.
