Guests have enjoyed the warm atmosphere, especially with the wood burner in winter, and appreciated the thoughtful touches like a Christmas tree and welcome pack. The property provides a pristine environment and easy access to lovely walks, although the approach can be challenging for non-four-wheel drive vehicles.

Chagford 2.9 miles. Lingcombe Barn is a beautifully renovated barn offering a cosy retreat within the Dartmoor National Park on the edge of the moors. However, it is still within easy reach of the lovely historic town of Chagford. The Barn sits in a unique, rural setting offering walks including the Two Moors Way and the Mariners Way direct from the door. The peaceful setting gives guests a chance to relax and unwind and enjoy being close to nature, the sheep and the ponies which wander down from the moor. Castle Drogo, Grimspound and The Warren House Inn are all nearby attractions and within hiking distance.
This lovely barn offers up to date modern facilities including underfloor heating, eco efficient woodburning stove, Smart TV, dishwasher and a bespoke oak kitchen with everything you would need for a stay. On the same level a modern bathroom offers the choice of having a shower or warm soak in a bath. Up two steps you will find the open plan living area offers a cosy setting with log burning fire. Heading up the oak staircase there is a beautifully styled bedroom with king size bed offering luxurious comfort. Views from the bedroom look out onto trees and open space.
Outside for the Summer months is a south facing terrace with table, bench and sun umbrella with easy deck chairs also provided.
With all this and so much more to discover, a stay at Lingcombe Barn will be a holiday to remember.
Property is situated in Dartmoor National Park. Should you manage to tear yourself away from this serene haven, venture out to the rugged Dartmoor landscapes where an abundance of history and natural beauty awaits. Explore the ancient ruins of Grimspound, dating back to the late Bronze Age. From here, make your way up to Hookney Tor for breath-taking panoramic views; a true gem of Dartmoor National Park. The Warren House Inn (iconic, remote, historic Dartmoor pub) where the fire continually burns, is a beautiful walk across the moors from Lingcombe Barn, The walk is approx. 2- 3 miles. Lingcombe Barn is on the very edge of the moor. The Mariners Way which is a long distance foot path runs past the property which forms part of the Two Moors Way long distance foot path. Take a glimpse into the past at Bennett's Cross, an authentic example of a wayside cross. Admire the circular spectacle of Fernworthy Stone Circle, another testament to the rich history of the area.
