The property's cleanliness and modern updates are also commended, making it a recommended choice for a peaceful and enjoyable stay.

The cottage receives glowing remarks for its cleanliness, with numerous guests describing it as spotless and well-kept. A single mention of dust and a greasy cooker hood suggests minor oversights, but these do not detract significantly from the overall high standards maintained.

The location is celebrated for its tranquillity, lack of traffic noise, and convenience to local shops and attractions. While one review mentioned limited dining options in Chudleigh, the proximity to various South Devon areas and amenities is generally seen as a plus.

It was a lovely, clean and homely cottage. Everything we needed was provided. Chudleigh was a lovely place to stay. We parked the car the day we arrived, and after that we used the buses to go anywhere. The bus stop was really close to cottage. The Phoenix pub was also very close, and Ella, one of the staff was so very helpful, and the food was first class. We will definitely be returning to the Old Anvil Cottage. The best holiday we have had through Sykes holiday.

One of the best properties we have stayed in and certainly the best equipped. The location was fantastic - the only thing lacking was a view but the nearby countryside, forests, and close proximity to the coast, Dartmouth and towns and cities more than made up for it. Friendly and helpful locals. Perfect in every way.
