The property is praised for its spaciousness, cleanliness, and thoughtful touches like welcome packs and treats. Its central location is ideal for local amenities and the beautiful areas nearby, though parking is a short walk away.

The property is generally described as clean, with good quality linen and towels. However, there were a few cleanliness issues mentioned, such as greasy pans and baking sheets, which slightly lower the score.

The location is highly praised for being central and peaceful, with easy access to local pubs, restaurants, shops, and beautiful areas of North Devon. The convenience of nearby parking, despite a short walk, is also appreciated.

The cottage is noted for its comfortable beds and homely atmosphere. Some guests mentioned steep stairs and the need for a handrail, which could affect comfort for those with mobility issues.

The property is well-equipped with games, films, and crabbing kits, but some guests suggested improvements such as updating kitchen furniture and providing more lamps. A small issue with a shower drainage was also noted.

Guests appreciated the thoughtful touches like welcome packs, chocolates on towels, and dog treats. While these are warmly received, it's important to note that such personal touches may vary and are not guaranteed.

Shame that the washing machine was changed to a dishwasher (which we didn't use !) but we were warned in advance!

We only had two issues - disappointing that no recycling is encouraged as we recycle all the time and feel this is something that should be encouraged. Secondly although the home was clean some of the pans and baking sheets were greasy and not washed - we had to wash them before preparing our meals. Also without a dishwasher more plates should be provided so constant washing up isn’t required. There was a small problem with the downstairs shower not draining away adequately but we dealt with it. The bathroom floor consequently flooded a bit after all of us had had a shower. Other than that a very pleasant stay and good value for money thank you !

The location is brilliant, and if the fridge is replaced then you have everything you need. Beds were very comfy too.
