In the summer season, you can take a foot ferry across the water to the village of Instow which offers a beautiful sandy beach and a handful of pubs, and restaurants, a truly beautiful spot. Only 2.5 miles away is the seaside village of Westward Ho!, one of the area's most popular tourists spots. In the summer you have the choice of shops, surf hire, cafes, pubs, and restaurants. It boasts amusement arcades and is most popular for its surfing, with a large expanse of sandy beach and surf school it s the perfect place to take a picnic and spend the day building sandcastles or catching a wave.
