Located just 1.5 miles from Bideford you really do have the best of both worlds based here. Host to a number of shops, pubs, cafes and restaurants, Bideford is a bustling market town through which the River Torridge runs. Take a day trip on the Oldenburg, a ferry that runs from the town's pretty quay to Lundy Island, a popular attraction for walking and wildlife enthusiasts. The golden sands of Westward Ho! (6 miles) offer outdoor and water sports enthusiasts the opportunity to try their hand at surfing, kayaking, fishing, rock pooling and paddleboarding in its 2 miles of glorious open seas.
