The Old Mill Shepherd's Hut in Devon is consistently praised for its tranquil setting, thoughtful touches, and welcoming hosts, Linda and Kevin. Guests are charmed by the idyllic location, the comfort of the hut, and the extra amenities provided. The presence of nature and wildlife adds to the serene experience, making it a highly recommended retreat for relaxation and enjoyment of the countryside.
Unfortunately we’ve been unable assess this category comprehensively enough based on the reviews we’ve received from guests about this property.
The location is frequently highlighted as idyllic, peaceful, and surrounded by nature, with the river nearby adding to the charm. The proximity to local attractions and the ability to visit both Devon and Cornish coastlines are also appreciated.
Guests describe the hut as cosy, comfortable, and larger than expected, with special mentions of the comfortable dog bed and the overall cosy atmosphere, indicating a high level of comfort.
The hut is well-equipped with essentials such as a starter breakfast pack, fresh cut flowers, and bath wraps. The presence of a bird table, garden area with BBQ, and fire pit are also noted. The lack of mention of any maintenance issues suggests that facilities are well-maintained.
The hosts' thoughtfulness is evident through the provision of a starter pack, fresh produce, and homemade bread. While these gifts are greatly appreciated by guests, it should be noted that such personal touches, though likely, are not guaranteed for every stay.
