Okehampton 3 miles. Resting in the lovely countryside of Meldon is this delightful end-terrace cottage, Tor View. Complimented with beautiful views, this sweet spot resting on the edge of Dartmoor National Park is a great setting for a couple or small family to enjoy Devon. You enter the property into a welcoming sitting room where you can relax after a long day and watch your favourite programmes, if you can take your eyes of the admirable views. Moving into the kitchen/diner, there is a smart dining table where you can enjoy an evening meal rustled up by the dedicated chef, or use the kitchen facilities to prepare a picnic and find a sweet spot in the countryside. Heading upstairs, there is a superb king-size bedroom with beautiful views, an idyllic feature fireplace and ample storage for you to unpack. There is also a colourful single room, great for children, and a bathroom so you can rejuvenate with a bath or freshen up with a shower. Outside, there is off-road parking for one car and to the rear there is a patio and a picnic bench to enjoy a glass of wine under the stars, and further communal gardens as well as a handy utility and cool games room. Sourton Down is resting on the edge of Dartmoor National Park, with a Shell garage serving takeaway food and selling any essentials, as well as a pub and a bike hire shop. Nearby Meldon has a quarry, viaduct and reservoir which each offer scenic spots and great walking routes to spot all three. Nearby, Okehampton is home to the ruins of a medieval castle, the Museum of Dartmoor Life, a golf club, a train station and ample shops, bars and eateries.
