About this property

Set in an elevated position with views towards Poole Harbour, Bournemouth, Christchurch, and the Isle of Wight, this family-friendly property has a fully enclosed garden, perfect for dogs and children. Take a walk down to the village centre, where you’ll find local amenities, or head to the beach, where unspoiled dunes make the ideal backdrop for lazy days together. This area is ideal for walkers and nature lovers alike, with Studland Heath boasting a network of paths and wonderful viewpoints. Head 2 miles along the coast to Swanage and visit the traditional amusements or Durlston Country Park. Within 5 miles is the village of Corfe Castle, home to castle ruins in the care of the National Trust, and idyllic streets.

An undulating path leads to the covered entrance door. Once inside, you’ll find a welcoming entrance hall with the lounge/diner to the right. A large picture window floods this homely room with light. Tuck up beside the open fire and admire the wonderful views of Studland Bay or wait for the night to draw in and enjoy your favourite shows on the Smart TV. Just along the hall is the kitchen, which has all you need to prepare family meals. There are three bedrooms to choose from, a cosy bunk room (with the top bunk suitable for a child), a double bedroom with sink, and a super king-size bedroom, also with a sink. There is a bathroom with hand-held shower and WC, and a separate shower room with WC completes this single storey accommodation.

Head outside via the main entrance door into the garden. This naturalistic space has swathes of lawn bordered by established shrubs and, of course, more wonderful sea views. The garden is fully enclosed.

A well equipped and cosy cottage in an absolutely superb location which was an ideal base for exploring the local area. There are sea views of Studland Bay from the garden as well as the main bedroom and lounge, waking up to that view was just simply inspiring. All within walking distance without using the car are numerous walks from the door. Turn right up the hill to Ballard Down, Swanage and Old Harry's Rocks. Turn left down the hill to the beaches of Studland Bay and Agglestone Rock. A short drive away is the expanse of the Studland Peninsula, RSPB Arne as well as Sandbanks via the ferry and Brownsea Island. A really enjoyable stay, we will return in the near future.

Our first time at the cottage and in Studland. The cottage. The cottage is in a nice position with a beautiful view. Very handy for the village shop and the beach. It's a proper cottage with everything that you need. Plenty of places nearby to grab a quick meal.
