After you've finished unpacking, settle into your new lodgings by getting to work in the fully-equipped kitchen, wherein you can rustle up a tasty, home-cooked meal to be savoured at the dining table, breakfast bar, or even alfresco on the enclosed decking in warmer months. When you're finished eating, take time to relax, by kicking back to enjoy a film in the sitting area complete with its very own woodburning stove, or take a long, hot dip in the private hot tub and watch as the mesmerising, starry night begins to appear overhead. When sleep calls, indulge in a rejuvenating bath or shower before you finally retire for a much-needed rest in any of the three inviting bedrooms, each of which features their own Freeview-enabled TV. If you can tear yourself from your tranquil base, head out to explore your local area. Head to The Shop to stock up on supplies or settle down for a pub lunch at The Old Mess Room, both locations conveniently-located on the holiday park, just a short stroll from your front door! A day trip to Swanage is also a must, where you and your loved ones can take a walk along the peaceful locales of Swanage Bay and Pier, or even hop onboard the historic Swanage Railway attraction. Swanage is a small, family-friendly beach town on the renowned Isle of Purbeck, at the eastern extremity of Dorset's renowned Jurassic Coast. Swanage is arguably best known for its lovely, gently sloping golden sands. The small town is well renowned for its annual jazz festival, which is held in July, and for its abundance of stores, fine taverns, and restaurants, some of which specialise in locally caught seafood. The charming Victorian wooden pier is a lovely spot to promenade, go fishing, or just sit and take in the sights. It's also a popular starting point for divers. Regular vintage steam engine excursions transport tourists on a charming 6-mile journey, chugging through gorgeous countryside to stop just beyond the romantic ruin of Corfe Castle, from the town's terminal on the historic Swanage Railway. With beautiful coastline walks, dolphin sightings, and wildlife viewing in addition to comfortable viewing areas and a well-stocked cafe for a treat after all the fresh air, nearby Durlston Country Park makes for a fantastic day out. Take the frequent chain ferry that travels over the mouth of Poole Harbour to Sandbanks and the short drive to Studland, which has one of the best beaches in the nation and is bordered by heathland. Any time of year, you can have a wonderful holiday here.
