Guests that stayed at this property said

Cleanliness is generally good with some guests noting the property as clean and tidy. However, there are mentions of cobwebs, a dirty oven hob, and kettle scale, suggesting room for improvement in deep cleaning.

The location is consistently lauded for being ideal, with easy walking distance to Lulworth Cove, pubs, and shops. The proximity to coastal walks and the peaceful village setting are also appreciated.

Comfort is well-regarded with mentions of a cosy atmosphere, comfortable beds, and a well-equipped kitchen. Some guests noted issues with hot water and bed size, but overall the property is seen as homely and snug.

Facilities are generally praised, especially the kitchen equipment and enclosed garden. However, there are several comments about maintenance issues such as problematic showers, heating, and the need for better lighting and newer outdoor furniture.

While guests have mentioned welcome gestures like fresh flowers and local biscuits, as these gifts are not consistently referenced across the reviews, it is not possible to accurately score the thoughtfulness category. It should be noted that such gestures are appreciated but not guaranteed.

Our only niggle was it stated a cot and it was a travel cot, fortunately we had our own as well so had the correct size linen, if its said "travel" we would have packed more correct sized sheets. Our first week started slightly odd as the people in Little Forge wanted to use our second parking bay as they had an extra guest staying with them, asked to use the garden and wandered across the garden each day cutting flowers out, which we reported. On "Facilities & Maintenance" the reason is we lost power on the last day, we struggled to get in touch with the housekeeper (about 5pm) for a bit, apparently no emergency electricians available. So we had no power, washing stuck in the machine, no way to use our prep machine or sterilizer for our 5 month old (very stressful), our 2 year old didn't like the dark, could not pack/clean properly, we called the out of hours line, left message, no one came back to us. Housekeeper did her best, along with our lovely neighbours but never fixed.

We thought the wooden table and chairs outside were in need of being replaced, they were not very nice to sit on to eat any meals
