Guests say

Backlands Farmhouse in Bridport, Dorset, is highly praised for its cleanliness, well-equipped kitchen, and thoughtful touches like a welcome hamper. Guests appreciate its spaciousness, beautiful decoration, and comfortable setting. The location is convenient for local amenities and exploring Dorset, though the steep hill and parking may challenge some. Overall, it offers a comfortable and relaxing stay with a few minor suggestions for improvement.

The property is consistently described as spotlessly clean, with one isolated report of a minor cleaning oversight. The high level of cleanliness contributes significantly to guests' overall positive experiences.

The location is generally well-regarded for its proximity to local shops, pubs, and the beach. However, some guests noted the challenge of a steep hill and limited parking, which slightly impacted the convenience.

Guests find the farmhouse very comfortable, with ample space and well-made furnishings. A few comments suggest room for improvement in bed size and the addition of a coffee table for enhanced comfort.

The property's facilities are praised, particularly the well-equipped kitchen and good showers. Points were deducted for minor maintenance issues like a creaky bed frame and suggestions for additional amenities such as larger towels and a soap holder.

The welcome hamper is frequently mentioned and highly appreciated by guests, indicating a high level of thoughtfulness. It should be noted that such gifts, while a delightful surprise, are not guaranteed for every stay.

It is extremely well equipped and comfortable. One slight downside was that one of the double beds had a cracked frame which creaked throughout the night. A minor issue though and we would definitely visit again.

.also situated on a steep hill which makes it difficult to load or unload your car as you can’t really park outside as you would block the road. The farmhouse is situated on an extremely steep hill which unless you are a pretty fit person makes it difficult walking anywhere. If you go on a Monday pretty much everything is closed so you need to bring your own food. The two menus for the local pubs are not that great if you’re allergic to seafood. All in all great farmhouse but parking awkward and not an ideal location because of the steep hill

    1. Downstairs shower room/toilet had some long hair on the floor so we felt it had not been cleaned properly. It also did not have any toilet rolls. 2. We felt that the property should have had a couple of toilet rolls in each bathroom . 3. We were disappointed that the property didn’t have basics , salt and pepper and sugar. People don’t want to have to bring that for 3/4 nights away. Many thanks Susan Johnson
