Guests have enjoyed the stunning sea views, proximity to the beach, and the rural charm of Siesta Chalet. The property offers a comfortable stay with well-equipped amenities. Despite some maintenance issues and initial cleanliness concerns, the chalet's location and overall experience have been highly praised, with many looking forward to returning.
Cleanliness has been a concern for some guests, with one reporting the property was not cleaned prior to arrival and another mentioning the toilet needed a scrub. However, another guest found the chalet spotlessly clean, indicating inconsistency in this area.
The location is highly praised for its fantastic sea views and proximity to the beach. The rural setting offers a sense of disconnection, which is seen as both a positive and negative. The nearby coastal walk to West Bay is also a highlight.
Comfort is generally good, with guests finding the chalet comfortable and well-heated upon arrival. However, some furniture is reported to be dated and uncomfortable, and the bath size was a concern for one guest.
Facilities are well-equipped but there have been several maintenance issues reported, such as a broken toilet flush and a cracked shower head. The TV's streaming features were also problematic for one guest.

This detached, single-storey chalet sits in a lovely location on the Eype Mouth Chalet Park, just a couple miles from the delights of Bridport. Boasting a scenic location where countryside meets the sea with far-reaching coastal vistas, Siesta Chalet is a wonderful choice for families looking to relax and explore the dramatic coastline of Dorset. After a day of meandering the coastline, look forward to putting your feet up in the living area and catching up on your favourite series. Move over to the kitchen and conjure up a feast using the provided appliances, before gathering at the dining table and toasting to a much-needed escape with your nearest and dearest. Throw open the patio doors to access the patio space, complete with a picnic bench so you can enjoy lunch in the sunshine whilst appreciating those sea views. Freshen up in the bathroom with choice of bath or shower over before retreating to the bedrooms; there is a double and a twin to choose from. Only a short walk away is gorgeous pebble and sand beach with stunning cliffs; one of them is the tallest South coast cliff reaching 191m above the sea, affording stunning views from the top. The village of Eype is famed for its feature in the ITV series Broadchurch, where you will find the welcoming pubs and restaurants of The New Inn, Eype’s Mouth, and Martin’s Bar and Restaurant, a well-stocked supermarket, a delightful café, the excellent Shepherd’s Down Pitch ‘n’ Putt Course. Head into Bridport, home to a wider selection of amenities, where you can learn about local history at the Bridport Museum, amble along the picturesque River Brit, peruse the good selection of independent shops or pay a visit to the Bridport Leisure Centre where you can swim, play squash or visit the gym. Walkers can lace up their boots and join the scenic South West Coast Path, a 630-mile route which provides unbeatable views of the Jurassic Cliffs. All this and much more awaits at Siesta Chalet.
Eype sits on one of the most dramatic sections of the Jurassic Coastline, and famously features one of ITV’s series Broadchurch’s most iconic locations. We’ll leave you guessing as to which one until you visit. The beach at Eype is a steeply shelving pebble beach that is dog friendly all year round and just 3 miles from Bridport and 4 from West Bay, where many other Broadchurch locations can be viewed, as well enjoying local fish and chips on the harbour side and ice creams on the sea front. Bridport offers all the high street amenities you will need along with a much-coveted antiques and collectables market. Golden Cap, the highest point in Dorset, sits on the South West Coast path and is just 4 miles from Eype, although it’s the highest point there are moderate routes to walk to the top, where spectacular far reaching views along the coast will be your reward.
