Situated in a peaceful hamlet in the Marshwood Vale, West Dorset, The Stable is a single-storey, comfortable and stylish retreat. With a clever mix of contemporary styling and character features, including high beamed ceilings and exposed stone walls, the accommodation is bright and airy. On entering your holiday home, there is a generous open-plan sitting room with a well-equipped kitchen and a dining area, with french doors to the garden. The impressive king-size bedroom includes a feature bedstead and a second set of doors to the garden, with a separate well-appointed shower room.
The sheltered cottage garden is south-west facing and includes a seating terrace with a table and chairs, a feature olive tree and attractive planting, and a small lawned area. There are ample opportunities for countryside walks in all directions in this beautiful part of Dorset, and the nearby towns of Bridport and Beaminster are within easy reach. The Jurassic Coast is just a short drive away for excellent coastal walks or a day at the beach, and within easy reach are numerous quaint villages and market towns. Dorset's highest hill forts of Lewesdon Hill and Pilsdon Pen can be seen from The Stable, and are well worth the climb, offering outstanding views all across Dorset and Devon beyond.
