This quaint little holiday cottage is located in the popular coastal village of Burton Bradstock in Dorset. With exceptional period features such as beams dating back hundreds of years and an inglenook fireplace, Dormouse is a quintessential village cottage in an ideal location for both country and coastal lovers. A charming well equipped cottage style kitchen. A snug sitting room complete with dining table for two to enjoy a romantic meal. The enclosed patio area is the prefect secluded area to sit and enjoy a drink together. Explore Burton Bradstock and visit the famous Hive beach café or enjoy a meal in one of the local pubs. Spend time walking and taking in the local coastline or take a drive to West Bay, which is less than two miles away, giving you a chance to explore the colourful fishing harbour and to sample some of the locally caught crabs and lobsters. A drive to historic Abbotsbury is highly recommended, after you have explored the village and you have paid a visit to the sub-tropical gardens and Swannery, you can journey along the coast road which spans the whole of the Chesil beach and view the breath-taking coastline from the top of Abbotsbury Hill. A perfect location for exploring all across Dorset, Dormouse cottage is the perfect cottage for a break.
Burton Bradstock is the perfect spot for a peaceful break on England's south coast, with the South West Coastal Path running alongside for you walking enthusiasts. The village itself boasts 16th and 17th century thatched cottages as well as two pubs, a shop and a Post Office, the glistening Hive Beach is a wonderful spot to spend the summer days with the magnificent cliffs as a backdrop, there is also a lovely café to sit and relax in, once a year the Spring Tide Festival is held which would be worth lining up your holiday with! There are many attractions and activities to enjoy around here, with the stunning coastal resort of Weymouth making for an excellent day out. Alternatively, head inland to the county town of Dorchester and Yeovil for great shopping, architecture, eating and drinking.
