Long Barn is a delightful end-terrace, thatched cottage situated in the heart of the village of Burton Bradstock. This cosy cottage offers a splendid retreat for couples looking to explore this coastal area of Dorset. Set in the heart of the village on the main road, you are ideally placed for all village amenities. After an adventurous day, be welcomed into a brightly decorated space, oozing a contemporary charm. The spacious accommodation offers multiple options for relaxing with the entire group, including the inviting sitting room and the modern shaker-style kitchen and an open-plan dining room. Unwind within the kitchen window seat with a glass of wine or if you are feeling competitive, join the group within the dining room for a game of domino's. As the evening draws to a close, head up the staircase to the first-floor, where you will find an elegantly dressed master bedroom with views over the fields and the River Bride, in addition to a second charming double bedroom, both served by a tastefully renovated bathroom with bath and handheld shower. Alternatively, you can spend your evening relaxing on the sunny patio area enjoying the nature around the property. From Long Barn, if you fancy a special treat one evening, you will be spoilt for choice by the two pubs that are within walking distance, each serving superb food, as well as The Hive beach café on Hive Beach. The village also boasts a post office and shop as well as garage, ideal for picking up any holiday essentials. Burton Bradstock is just two miles from the West Bay, famous for being the setting in the ITV series Broadchurch, and the market town of Bridport is just a further mile away. If fossil hunting is your desire, Charmouth Beach is around a 20-minute drive away and for those keen walkers, Golden Cap, Dorset’s highest peak, is an energetic six miles along the South West Coast Path and offers some of the most spectacular views in Dorset. For those with less energy you can park at the Langdon Hill National Trust car park and walk to the top in around 30-minutes. With much more of the Jurassic Coastline within a 30-minute car ride, Long Barn is perfectly situated for you explore.
Burton Bradstock is a small coastal village resting on the Dorset's Jurassic Coast. Within the village you will find two pubs, a shop and a Post Office, as well as the Hive Beach with its cliff views and cafe. Within the area you will find a wealth of attractions to suit all ages and tastes, with the coastal resort of Weymouth within close reach.
