You can step out onto a delightful balcony here and enjoy some time outdoors breathing in the fresh Dorset air and soaking up those wonderful views. Step into the sleek and stylish kitchen which is fully fitted with all the amenities you could possibly need to create delicious food for your party and the magnificent breakfast bar offers a great space to pull up a stool, pour a drink and keep the designated chef company. When the food is ready to be served up, simply walk over to the elegant dining area where you can imagine your guests gathering for long, tasty meals you will remember for a long time. After a hard day of exploring, you’ll want to find a restful bed to sleep in so take your pick from any of the three super-king-size bedrooms which are all beautifully presented and offer a really inviting space to wake up to in the morning. Jump in the car for some enjoyable family days out to places such as Axe Valley Wildlife Park, Forde Abbey and Gardens, Tunnel Tree Tops and Pecorama or for some breath-taking views lace up your hiking boots and head out for a walk anywhere along the 630 mile long South West Coastal Path. Pack a picnic and go fossil hunting at any one of a number of magnificent beaches including West Bay, Weymouth, Seatown and Chesil. A charming holiday haven awaits with a stay at Pippin.

    ..property was as described, very clean and in a great location. All furnishings, appliances, bedrooms etc were of the highest quality. Would definitely book again. A couple of minor issues, we could not find a pair of scissors or any oven gloves! If they were there they are not obvious....and though no fault of the owners, it could be such a lovely view from the balcony if it wasn't for the height of the neighbours trees obscuring the view! But, overall it is a lovely place...happy to recommend staying here.

    Good location, walking distance to the supermarket, pub, beaches and coastal walks, and bus services to Lyme Regis and Bridport. Lovely views from the balcony to the sea. Large kitchen, well equipped, great for family dinners. And very quiet! Driveway entrance is a bit tight, but adequately explained in the description, with space for two cars (we parked our third car up on the main road). Upon arrival, there were issues with the upstairs toilet, but the local property manager came around immediately once we’d reported it, to sort a temporary repair. He advised someone would be in first thing the following morning to complete the repairs (unfortunately, the issue was worse when we woke the next morning, and we called to advise this on the emergency phone). A plumber did arrive and do repairs in the morning, while we were out. When we discovered the toilet was still not working properly, we called the Sykes Cottages again, and the plumber returned within 5 minutes (!) and fixed the problem. He apologised, rectified the problem, explained what to do if any further issues. Excellent service. We were impressed with speed of the response, and the follow up by both the property manager, and the plumber. Everything was done so quickly. Would not hesitate in renting via Sykes again, as understand things can go wrong - and very happy with the service and response time.
