) despite being so close to the busy road running through Maiden Newton. Cottage very well & tastefully appointed, comfortable beds, excellent showers/bathroom facilities. We really enjoyed being able to stay there. Claire, next door, was extremely helpful without being intrusive - an asset to have on-site. The river when floods obviously an issue & worry for the owners, but seem to be managing it well - slight smell of damp, but not an issue. Thank you.

All you could want in the kitchen including a washer dryer. Lovely welcome supplies on arrival.great base for visiting the coast. Missed watching live news in a morning but it made us all watch a family movie each night which is no bad thing! Hubby spent each evening fishing off the jetty. Lovely village with a great local store just across the road. Lady next door is on hand with loads of info about the house and area.

On day 1 we had no hot water or heating but Clare found the problem and sorted it! TV was a bit difficult to use, if we didn't have younger people with us we would have been lost.
