Guests say

Seashell is a well-regarded apartment in Lyme Regis, praised for its central location, secure parking, and modern amenities. Guests appreciate the convenience to the town centre and beach, as well as the comfort and cleanliness of the property. While some minor maintenance issues and suggestions for improvements are noted, the overall experience is seen as pleasant, with many guests returning for multiple stays.

Guests that stayed at this property said

The apartment generally receives positive remarks for cleanliness, but there is a notable instance of the property being described as filthy upon arrival. This seems to be an exception rather than the rule, as other reviews do not mention this issue.

The location is consistently praised for being central, convenient, and within a gated community, offering easy access to the town centre, beach, and gardens. Secure parking is frequently mentioned as a significant benefit.

Comfort is generally well-received, with the property described as clean and comfortable. However, some guests mention issues with the firmness of the bed and the indoor temperature being too warm, particularly in the bedroom.

Facilities are modern and mostly appreciated, but several reviews cite minor maintenance issues such as a dripping tap, lighting problems, and the need for a dustpan and brush. These issues suggest room for improvement in the maintenance of the facilities.

There is insufficient information to assess thoughtfulness as it pertains to gifts, as only one review mentions a welcome pack without specifying its contents. Therefore, it cannot be guaranteed that gifts are a standard provision for guests.

I though that my daughter and I had a Seaview. At £2200 I understood this was the case. I can put my hand up to not looking properly at the room whilst booking but the listing said Sea view! The appartment was very nice but the pillows in the double bedroom had an "odour"and upon investigation I found them to have yellowing under cases that weren't really pillow protectors and some of the pillows underneath had marks on them. For a "luxury" appartment I find this to be unacceptable. The plug in the main bathroom didn't work. My daughter went to have a bath, she is on the autism spectrum so routine is key to ensure her happiness and wellbeing but the bath wouldn't fill. The seal on the bath plug was perished and no longer did its function. The plug hole was absolutely filthy and full of hair! I rang and spoke to a gentleman first thing Saturday who assured it would be looked at. It was but it wasn't sorted until Thursday. A problem locating a seal for it apparently. This was the day before we were due to leave. Like I said before this was a very nice appartment but certainly not up to the standard of a " luxury" one. I am very disappointed as this cost a fortune just for me and my daughter to stay in. I wouldn't stay here again as the cleanliness was not up to standard. The bedding didn't even match. The welcome pack however was a really nice touch but I would have rather had the "luxury" appartment that I thought I had paid for.

The secure parking is a real bonus and the closeness to Lyme and the gardens above the Cobb. Ideally accepting pets would be very welcome as we would love to bring our dogs.

Space is very generous. However place was filthy on arrival (have photos to back ALL this up). Oven top covered in grease, dust on surfaces, tables and floors. Also when we arrived we were greeted with a huge bag full of toilet roll and cleaning materials which makes me suspect cleaners were in a rush. Also kettle needs replacing as broken. Did speak to Bev from Lyme Bay Holidays who was great. All of the above notwithstanding we would stay here again, but for what we paid I expect basic cleanliness. Booked many times with Lyme Bay Holidays and this was first issue we’ve had. Just a shame on this occasion.
