The beauty of a holiday in Dorset is that even the children will be tired out by the end of the day because there is so much to see and do here and so when bedtime calls, you can choose from the cool children’s bunk bedroom or for the grown-ups, a beautifully presented double bedroom. There is nowhere better to wake up in the morning and after a refreshing shower or bath, a quick coffee on the terrace you’re good to go. Take a stroll down to the harbour and causeway for which Lyme Regis is known, go fossil hunting on the beach or browse around the town’s great selection of shops and amenities. For an insight into the region’s marine history pay a visit to Lyme Regis Marine Aquarium and Dinosaurland Fossil Museum. Some great walks to try nearby include Langdon Hill, Golden Cap, Timber Hill Woods and pretty much anywhere along the South West Coastal Path where you will be rewarded with some simply outstanding views. Jump in the car for days out to attractions such as Pecorama, Axe Valley Wildlife Park, Abbotsbury Subtropical Gardens and Tunnel Tree Tops.
