Guests say

Harbourside House in Weymouth is a well-situated property with stunning harbour views, offering spacious and comfortable accommodation. Guests appreciate the well-equipped kitchen, the warmth of the house, and the lovely outdoor area. The property's location is ideal for watching the bustling harbour and is within walking distance to local amenities. While some guests mentioned minor maintenance issues and cleaning oversights, the overall experience is highly regarded, with many expressing a desire to return.

Reviews indicate a generally clean environment, though some guests noted areas needing more attention, such as dusting, mould in showers, and a deep clean. The presence of cleanliness issues in several reviews suggests room for improvement.

The property's location is highly praised for its proximity to bars, restaurants, the beach, and its idyllic harbour views. Some noise is noted due to its central position, but it does not significantly detract from the overall positive reception of the location.

Guests find the beds comfortable and the house cosy, with ample space for privacy. Some reviews mention issues with showers and early morning noise, but these are relatively few compared to the overall positive feedback on comfort.

The property is well-equipped with games, a pool table, and a well-stocked kitchen. However, some guests reported maintenance issues such as non-working lights, electrical problems, and the need for updates in bathrooms, which affects the score.

While some guests mentioned a welcome pack and the provision of a parking permit, there is insufficient information to assess the consistency of thoughtfulness across all stays, and thus the score is set to null.

Unfortunately each time we visit we see things that are being neglected. The shaving mirror in the uppermost double room is hanging off the wall minus the actual mirror. There is no toilet roll holder just the fitting plate on the wall Our son also mentioned what appears to be woodlice crawling all over one of the beds in the twin room on the uppermost floor. I suspect they might be coming out of the air vent and landing on the bed but there is several on the bed and not what I’d expect in a holiday home. These properties aren’t cheap and I would expect better standards The pots and pans had to be washed before we could use them as there was food debris on them and some of the glasses were all smeared and didn’t appear clean We love Weymouth and this property is ideal for the size of our party so it’s a shame the attention to detail is lacking. I was told if I got in touch sooner they’d send someone out, this shouldn’t be down to me. Your maintenance and cleanliness should be inspected and signed off before a customers arrival. It’s the perfect property if it were not so neglected I hope this is all put right before next years holiday, it’s such a shame

Comfy beds, lovely furniture. Negatives - property had not been cleaned properly, rubbish was left on decking, unclean tables, windows are filthy, window seat filthy, kettle full of limescale. Encountered no electric on 1st day, called to report to Sykes as soon as they opened - 7.5 hours later engineer called to fix the issue. Sent numerous messages to Sykes regarding complaint since we’ve returned home - all ignored.

A few maintenance issues, loo roll holder in top floor bedroom missing, and shaving mirror broken. Freezer needed de frosting as so much ice you couldn’t put things in it.
