About this property

Victorian Town House is a large, five-bedroom property resting in the coastal town of Weymouth. With close by amenities and attractions, as well as spacious accommodation, this property is ideal for friends or families looking for a getaway to Dorset. On the ground floor, to the rear of the property you will find a utility for all of your sandy clothes, a cloakroom, and a sunroom filled with plants. The first floor consists of a retro, 80’s-style kitchen with a good selection of amenities to cater to your culinary needs, and a dining table for breakfasts. The large living/dining room is filled with quirky features, and sports a dining table where all guests can enjoy a meal together, toasting to their getaway over a glass of fizz, and here there is also a great selection of sofas for guests to recline in. Here there is also a bathroom where guests can enjoy a soak amongst the bubbles at the end of a long day of exploring, and there is also the option of a shower room (no WC). On the second floor there are four bedrooms, two doubles and two singles, and on the third floor you will find a double with an en-suite cloakroom. Outside there is a patio space where guests can enjoy morning coffee before heading out to the local area. Weymouth is a great seaside town with plenty on offer for guests, starting with a range of cafés, eateries and pubs. Options include the Pascal’s Brasserie, The Nothe Café and The Ship Inn Pub and Restaurant, and there is also a number of convenience stores for all of your holiday essentials. Walk along the pier, enjoying fish and chips or an ice cream with a sea view, try out watersports or spend a day lounging in the sunshine on the beach. There is a golf course nearby where you can try out a game or two, or birdwatching at RSPB Radipole Lake. The Dorset AONB encourages guests to hike through stunning scenery, past pretty beaches and far reaching ocean views. Along this stretch of coast there are many attractions, including Maiden Castle, the historic town of Dorchester with its Teddy Bear Museum and art gallery, Abbotsbury Subtropical Gardens, Kingcombe Meadows Nature Reserve and Minterne House and Gardens. Explore the wonders of Dorset with a stay at Victorian Town House.

Weymouth is an excellent year-round vacation spot, with a wide range of attractions that appeal to visitors of all ages and inclinations. All kinds of activities can be enjoyed on the golden sand beaches, while regular fishing trips can be taken from the lovely, lively harbour. Weymouth and Portland are connected by the Chesil Beach in a scenic journey through the mountainous "Isle" of Portland. It is only seven miles away from Dorchester, the setting for Thomas Hardy's "Casterbridge," so why not take a picturesque coastal route and stop at Abbotsbury Swannery and Subtropical Gardens?

Cottage is clean, tastefully decorated and well kitted out (even a small Gym). It is ideal location for groups doing the Jurassic coast walk.

Cooker could do with updating as we found it awkward to cook when it was numbers and not temperature and no leaflet on how to work it. We had to leave the kitchen windows open as it was rather overwhelming. Also the iron when used tripped the electric in the whole House so that may need replacing. Overall a lovely stay and we've already booked for next year!

Everything was there that we needed, the kitchen was very well appointed (could do with a wooden spoon though so as not to scratch the pots and pans), the lounge was great for relaxing with plenty of channels available on the TV, and the beds were very comfortable. The whole house was perfect for hide-and-seek! Two convenience stores on the doorstep couldn't have been handier, and the beach was an easy 12-minute walk away with a dog-friendly section by the Pavilion. Nobody wanted to leave.
