The Tack Room in Lydney is a well-received holiday rental with guests praising its cleanliness, comfortable furnishings, and beautiful garden. The property's location offers easy access to local attractions, although some noted the proximity to a busy road. The thoughtful touches by the hosts, including welcome treats, have been appreciated, contributing to many guests considering a return visit.
Reviews consistently mention that the property is very clean, with no negative comments on cleanliness. This suggests a high standard maintained by the owners.
The location is generally praised for its proximity to local attractions and the Forest of Dean. However, a few guests noted the busy road nearby, which slightly impacted the score.
Guests frequently compliment the comfortable furnishings, beds, and the cosy atmosphere of the property. A few comments about an overly warm duvet and an uncomfortable bed were outliers.
The property is well-equipped according to guests, but there were some concerns about the accuracy of the listing regarding a DVD player and the performance of the shower, leading to a slightly reduced score.
While guests have mentioned welcome treats and the helpfulness of the owners, there is not enough information to guarantee such gestures for future guests, and thus the score is set to null.

Charm and comfort; beautiful outside spaces and good parking. Also an absolutely terrific view! Elaine rang before we arrived to check we knew where we were going and to make arrangements to leave the keys etc and spoke to us before we left, which was nice. The kitchen area was well appointed and had all the utensils neededâ¦â¦ my only criticism was that there was little space to store food such as tinned goods and bread. Lovely comfy reclining sofasâ¦â¦ great sitting area! Excellent wi-fi service too! The bathroom was very good, the heated towel rail was enough to take the chill off! Both bedrooms were nicely furnished and comfy but the main bedroom wardrobe was full of cleaning equipment and the ironing board so had limited hanging space for longer items. Not really an issue for us as we just used the other wardrobe. Great location, close to Lydney and not far to Coleford or the Forest itself. Thank you for a lovely home from home!

Garden certainly not dog friendly. My little dog fell straight in the pond as walk ways are too steep. Not very safe for older people. Doesnât show in pictures how uneven it really is. Could do with some grass for dog to have a wee.
