Jackdaw's Roost is a charming and quirky cottage that offers a peaceful and relaxing stay, with many guests praising its cleanliness, unique character, and the delightful presence of geese. The property's rural setting is appreciated for its tranquility and proximity to Cotswolds attractions, though some guests noted the rustic charm could benefit from maintenance. Welcome treats for guests and their pets add a thoughtful touch.
The majority of guests found the cottage to be very clean and tidy, contributing to a comfortable and pleasant stay. Occasional comments on outdoor cleanliness due to wildlife are noted, but do not significantly detract from the overall positive feedback on the property's cleanliness.
The location is generally praised for its tranquility and proximity to the Cotswolds, offering a serene environment with a delightful rural charm. However, some guests mentioned limited mobile reception and the need to travel for amenities, slightly affecting the convenience aspect of the location.
Guests frequently mention the comfort of the cottage, particularly the bed and the cosy atmosphere. However, there are remarks about the need for improved seating comfort and accessibility concerns for those with mobility issues, which suggests room for enhancement in this area.
While the unique facilities and vintage charm are appreciated, several guests have pointed out areas where maintenance is needed, such as the outdoor space, furniture, and some amenities. These comments suggest that while the facilities have potential, attention to maintenance would greatly improve the experience.
The hosts' thoughtfulness is frequently commended, with mentions of welcome treats for both guests and pets. It's important to note that while these gestures are highly appreciated, they are a courtesy and may not be a consistent offering for every stay.

Very quirky and eco friendly, not for the 'must have wifi and 50inch tvs people!' Welcome pack and dog treats were a nice touch and very much appreciated. Excellent communication from Hayley including information prior to our visit of a road closure. Only tiny negative is a shower curtain or screen would have been good. We have already recommended to some friends.

It's now became our hidey-hole away from the world. Cannot wait for next years visit. Hayley and hubby have done an amazing job, they've pretty much thought of everything, even for our 4 legged friends aswell. Another holiday with no faults and being able to enjoy the log fire in these cold evenings, was just amazing again. Highly, highly recommend.

We had a very relaxing time and left feeling really refreshed. The barn is full of character and the woodburner helps make it very cosy. Amazingly comfortable bed. Eggs, bread and milk were a nice touch. There is an enclosed garden area for the dogs. Our two black labradors also thoroughly enjoyed it! We will be returning again, hopefully soon...
