Gloucester 7.5 miles. Nestled in the quaint village of Huntley, near the bustling city of Gloucester, lies this delightful property, Vine Tree Cottage. Offering a homely and traditional setting, Vine Tree Cottage is the perfect getaway for a small family looking to explore the sights of The Forest of Dean, Wye Valley and the Cotswold. Ample off-road parking greets you upon arrival at the property, making it easy to come and go as you please, along with a neat lawned garden, wrapping around the side of the property and offering a peaceful and inviting space to enjoy a refreshing drink as you take in the views of the surrounding hills and Gloucester Cathedral, towering in the distance. Enter in through the open-plan kitchen/diner, traditionally decorated with a neutral colour scheme and tiled flooring and featuring a rustic wooden Welsh dresser. Rustle up a heart-warming meal using fresh local produce and gather around the dining table, discussing the adventures that you've got planned for the days ahead. Continue through to the sitting room where you'll find vintage patterned lounge seating, overlooked by exposed wooden beams, giving the cottage a real farmhouse feel and enticing you to snuggle up into an armchair in front of the TV, letting the evening drift away. The charm of the property continues upstairs, boasting the property's three well-presented bedrooms, a king-size benefiting from a handy en-suite shower room, as well as the two single bedrooms. Completing the first floor is the bathroom, fit with the property's second walk-in shower cubicle, making it easy for a family of four to get ready in the morning. Take the short stroll into the centre of Huntley, boasting a country pub where you can enjoy an evening away from the kitchen, or head to the family-owned butchers and pick up some locally sourced produce to indulge in when you return to the cottage. Head on an outdoor adventure and explore The Wye Valley, an Area Of Outstand Natural Beauty, featuring scenic walking trails along the rolling hills and woodlands as well as challenging cycling routes and canoeing opportunities. Movie fanatics will enjoy a visit to Puzzlewood, an area of picturesque woodland in the Forest of Dean, that has been featured in many Hollywood films, including Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1 and Star Wars: The Force Awakens. For something a little different, get dressed to the nines and head off to the races in Cheltenham, followed by a Michelin Star dining experience at the luxurious Le Champignon Sauvage. Huntley is a small village outside of Gloucester, North of the Forest of Dean, and is home to a number of quaint country pubs along with a family-run butchers. The neighbouring city of Gloucester has a host of heritage to discover, including its 11th-century Cathedral, which has Romanesque and Gothic architecture, as well as Victorian Docklands and the The National Waterways Museum, depicting the city’s industrial past. The bustling city is lined with an incredible range of shops, markets, restaurants, pubs and visitor attractions to visit during your stay.
