Overall, the lodge provides a peaceful and enjoyable stay.
Most guests found the lodge to be clean and well-maintained, with only a few minor comments about the need for fresher bedding and a more thorough cleaning of certain areas. The positive remarks far outweigh the negatives, indicating high standards of cleanliness overall.
The lodge's location is consistently described as peaceful, quiet, and convenient for local attractions and visiting relatives. The presence of wildlife and a lake adds to the appeal, making the location highly regarded among guests.
Guests frequently mention the comfort of the lodge, noting its cosy atmosphere and well-furnished interiors. The presence of wildlife and serene views contribute to a comfortable and relaxing experience, although suggestions for handrails in the bathroom indicate room for improvement in accessibility.
The lodge is praised for its well-equipped nature and high-quality appliances. However, there are comments about minor maintenance issues such as the need for a clean and re-stain of the decking, a missing lock on the bathroom door, and a need for descaling shower heads. These small details suggest that while facilities are generally good, there is some room for improvement.
There are no specific mentions of gifts or special thoughtful touches provided by the hosts in the reviews. Therefore, it is not possible to assess the thoughtfulness based on the available information, and the score is set to null.

We stayed for 3 weeks the place was clean warm and welcoming . Looking out over a lake with 2 resident geese and lots of ducks . The deer that came to see us every morning was wonderful.

In my experience, single story accommodation usually has these features to make them accessible for all. Recommendations for local places to eat would also be very useful as we had 2 very poor meals locally. Overall our stay was lovely and my 90 year old Mum loved sitting out on the terrace watching the fishermen.
