Sitting on the outskirts of the bustling seaside town of Weston-super-Mare in the small village of Hutton is this wonderful listed property, Sutherland Barn. Featuring a hot tub within the enclosed private garden and unique archway features, Sutherland Barn can accommodate six guests on a wonderful holiday to Somerset. Enter the property through one of the four stunning archways, and head to the kitchen/diner to prepare a snack after a busy day outdoors; with a fabulous Rangemaster cooker and a large American style fridge/freezer, you can rustle up something to enjoy around the lovely wooden dining table. Sink into the sofas in the Lounge and enjoy watching TV into the evening in the company of your loved ones, or spend time outside on a balmy summer evening in the hot tub, afterwards sitting out on the outdoor furniture with a glass of wine in hand. Discover three bedrooms on the first floor of the house, with a king-size with en-suite shower room, a further king-size and finally a small double bedroom completing the elegant sleeping spots, whilst a family bathroom offers somewhere to freshen up. The wonderful garden is completely enclosed, with access only via a lockable gate – perfect for child and pet safety. The courtyard patio is utterly private, and where you will find the beautiful hot tub just steps from the kitchen French doors, which is partly covered, and nestles against a high natural stone wall. The village of Hutton is a lovely setting for basing your Somerset staycation, being right on the cusp of the border into the Mendip Hills as well as within reach of the sunny seaside too. A three minute walk from Sutherland Barn finds you at the doors of The Old Inn, a very popular village country pub, with amazing quality food, and a warm welcome assured by John, Carol and the team - booking in advance is essential, and a treat not to be missed. The popular seaside town of Weston Super Mare is just ten minutes drive away, offering a variety of shops, restaurants along with the stunning beach and pier. This property is a gem for walkers (with or without dogs), where five minutes away by car is the beach and Boatyard and nature reserve of Uphill, with its quaint café, you can enjoy refreshment after a walk. Ideal for cyclists, the new trail takes you to Brean Down, where you can walk up to the Fort and enjoy panoramic views to both Wales and Somerset coasts. Don’t miss Sand Bay – a stunning beach with woodland walks alongside, and at the end is sand Point, another peninsular offering stunning view across to Wales. Visit the natural wonder of Cheddar Gorge and follow the trail taking you to the cathedral-like caves where 9000 years of human history was discovered and take the time to explore the quaint village, which founded the beloved Cheddar cheese. It is very well equipped and nicely decorated. The hot tub was a great asset. Myself and my family really enjoyed our stay. I wouldnât hesitate to recommend this classy property.

Spotlessly clean. We all loved the garden and outside space, perfect for our dogs and also for sitting and relaxing. We didnât want for anything during our stay. The owner provided tea, coffee and milk to get you started before you shop and each toilet had a roll of toilet paper. All sinks had hand wash and there were washing up supplies in addition to a dishwasher with a supply of tablets. There were towels provided for the hot tub in addition to the regular towels. The annexe is fab and a nice separate space to sit and watch TV if you donât like what is on in the lounge :) The washer and dryer are in the annexe. The village of Hutton is lovely and the pub down the road is awesome. Friendly with the most amazing food. Dog friendly too. We wouldnât hesitate to recommend Sutherland Barn.

We had a very enjoyable stay here. There is a small and larger supermarket about 5 mins drive away. The local pub just down the road is nice but it serves huge portions and there is a good fish and chip shop just beside the small supermarket. It would have been helpful to have had some instructions (manuals perhaps) about TV and all the appliances as they do not all work in the same way. We had to call the very helpful owner on a couple of occasions to get things working. Note property does have dishwasher which was not listed. Places to visit not too far away.
